Preparation: You will need to bring the cushion inner with you. If the cushion has an existing cover then this should be brought along also. Should you require us to make a cushion inner for you this will need to be discussed at least 2 weeks prior to the date of your class.
Fabric: The fabric amount required will depend on the dimensions of the cushion. If you need advice please email info@jodygrayupholstery.co.uk.
Our fabric shop will be open on the day of the course should you need to source fabric.
Window/Bench Seat Cushion Workshop

Learn how to make a window seat or bench cushion cover in this one day workshop.
We provide expert tuition in a relaxed and spacious environment. Class sizes are kept small (maximum 3 people per session) allowing for plenty of one-to-one support to guide you through your project.
You will be guided through the process from measuring and cutting your pieces, accounting for your chosen fabric type; pattern matching; sewing and attaching a zip panel; making and attaching piping; through to the final sewing together of all the elements.
You will be introduced to the correct use of an industrial sewing machine and will be tutored through the various techniques, from start to finish.
The class is suitable for all levels of experience however, beginners to sewing are advised to start with a small and square cushion with no shapes, lugs or tapers.

There is no limit on the size of cushion that can be made, however, if your cushion is larger than 1.8m please contact us first to discuss.
All tools are included. Fabric is available to purchase from our onsite shop.
